Beyond a natural wonderland and getaway spot, Costa Rica is home to over 500,000 young adults who shape and define the country’s community. Ensuring that their future is just as bright as the county’s, Origen Escapes has just launched a thrilling, 9-day fundraiser project to raise awareness and support for their youth development program. Meet the Costa Rica Coastal Quest: 12 people, 1 canoe, 9 days of travel, 390 nautical miles from Golfito to Papagayo, and 26 brand sponsors – including the Casa Chameleon family.
Origen Learning Experience provides employable skills to young people between 18-25 who face significant barriers entering the job market. Through ongoing education and technical training primarily in the tourism sector, the non-profit project empowers young people and helps them embark on prosperous careers. Besides technical knowledge, the organization also helps adults develop essential personal and interpersonal skills, whilst highlighting the importance of community and environment preservation.
Supporting this outstanding purpose, we’ve partnered with Origen Escapes to accompany the fundraising rowers’ 9-day trip through Costa Rica. From December 5th to 7th, the rowers will make a stop at all of our four properties to receive nourishing meals and a home away from home before they continue their journey. If you’ll be staying with us, we’d love for you to join as we cheer the volunteers on – but there are plenty of other ways you can participate in our social initiatives.
